    Our Story

In 2011, Hamish and Haidee sensed a clear and unexpected call from God to plant a church in Singapore. They set a date six months out, started a Facebook page, and began with no team, no finance, and no guarantees.

What followed was a community with relationship at its core. Every challenge, decision and step forward was formed through prayer, late night meetings, laughter, and a lot of coffee.

    Together

Each new visitor, conversation and connection continued to enrich the vision as they did life together and believed together,

    A Family

Over fifteen years Inspire has called several places home across Singapore, each move shaped by who the community was becoming.

    & Trusting

No matter where, the vision has always been the same: a place where people are loved without agenda, where faith is lived honestly, and where everyone has room to belong.

    Senior Pastors

    Hamish and Haidee

Hamish and Haidee have led Inspire together since the beginning, and the community reflects both of them in equal measure.
Hamish is an artist, pastor and teacher, and has always lived these as a single calling. Theology, education and art are different expressions of the same impulse: to make the invisible visible, and the intangible tangible.
Haidee walks with quiet wisdom and a deep sensitivity to people. She is quick to listen, thoughtful in the questions she asks, and careful in how she guides. She creates space in herself to nurture people to become who they were truly created to be.

    Associate Pastors

    Cory and Rob

Cory has been part of Inspire since the very beginning. Rob found his way here a few years later. They met while serving in this community, fell in love, and now have three children of their own. That story tells you something about who they are and what Inspire means to them.
Together they bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine love for God and for people. Their heart for community is evident in everything they do, creating spaces where people feel seen, valued and encouraged in their walk with God. They lead our youth ministry and carry much of the pastoral heartbeat of the church, combining warmth, fun and purpose in everything they bring.

    The Vision Team

Inspire is led by a vision team drawn from within the community itself. The team is intentionally diverse, representing the full range of cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives that make up the church. Their role is to hold the community accountable to its own vision, to ensure that every decision, every partnership, and every direction taken is consistent with who Inspire has committed to be.
They oversee financial and theological accountability, support the pastoral team's wellbeing, and ask the question that matters most in every room: does this reflect who we are and what we are here for?

  • Community Partneships

One of the ways Inspire lives out its faith is through deliberate partnerships with organisations serving people on the margins of Singapore society.

These are almost always non-religiously affiliated groups, chosen specifically because they are doing genuine, grassroots work with real communities, with real needs.

We do not partner to build our profile or grow the church. We partner to resource and empower the work that is already happening. Our space, our people, and our relationships are offered in service of that.
